First impressions of the upcoming action in Freeride Entertainments’ RedBulll Rampage 2010 DVD.

The season finale of The Atherton Project sees Gee, with his World Cup win under his belt, heading to Utah for the mother of all freeride events: Red Bull Rampage. On the road, Gee and the team stop off at a gun range to let off some steam, and a few AK-47 rounds… Then it’s on to Red Bull Rampage. The week involves intense heat, unforgiving terrain, and a ton of digging to get the lines perfect. If only Dan were there, to lend his shovel skills. After a jaw-dropping week of insane freeriding, The Atherton Project 2010 literally ends with a bang of epic proportions, and a little quiet reflection on the year that’s been.

Soon, the wait will be over – an epic new video of Youtube wonder Danny ‘MegaSkill’ MacAskill is in the making. Over the next few months, a series of short clips will be released building up to a new video which is sure to blow the bike world off its feet!

Episode 11 of The Atherton Project kicks off with an encouraging message from the injured Dan. Meanwhile, Rachel and Gee are in Windham, USA for the the final World Cup of the season and Rachel is nervous about her return to downhill following a shoulder injury. Gee isn’t in the best of health either with a chest infection as he prepares for the biggest race of the year so far – a race that could see him crowned UCI World Cup Downhill Champion 2010. Can he hold it all together and defy nemesis Greg Minnaar to take the title?

With wild skies above him and 1,500 feet of vertical drop below, Cameron Zink persevered over the obstacles to become the 2010 Red Bull Rampage champion. Twenty-one of mountain biking’s best riders threw down all they had while battling wild weather, but when the skies cleared it was Zink who took home the trifecta – the contest win, Utah Sports Commission Best Trick Award and the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour season overall title.

It was all on the line Friday at Red Bull Rampage where 21 riders had two qualifying runs to try to make the cut to ten to advance to the Final on Sunday. It was the moment of truth to see if the work they’d put into their lines for the previous three days was going to pay off.

Freeride Entertainment, producers of the New World Disorder series, are pleased to announce the beginnings of a new project taking mountain biking back to the roots of freeriding. Where the trail ends… is the start of a new feature film based on the natural terrain progression of riding in remote international locations. Freeride is excited about their new project which started deep in the Gobi desert in China earlier this year. Featured riders from this first expedition were Darren Berrecloth, Kurt Sorge, and James Doerfling.
